Ms. Abbey grew up dancing at Georgia Dance Conservatory. She performed professionally with Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre (formerly Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre) for 12 years. One of her favorite roles was Tinker Bell in “Peter Pan.” While performing and taking classes, Abbey was also a part of GDC’s Teacher Training Program for 5 years, where she honed her innate skills as an instructor.

Currently, Ms. Abbey is the photographer for GMDT (Abigail Photos) and in her fifth season of teaching.
